How to send money from UK or Europe to India?

New user

  • Remitter has to visit the site www.remitmoney.com




  • On the top right side of the home page, click on the 'Get Started' tab; a registration page will open.




  • Register & create a Login ID with password by providing your details such as Name , Email ID & Password




  • Agree to the Terms and Conditions by clicking on the 'Checkbox' next to it and Click on 'Register Now'. It's as simple as that!




  • You will then be directed to the 'Receiver Details' page where you have to enter the details of the beneficiary whom you want to send the funds.




  • You will then come to the 'Payment Booking' page. Fill in the amount you want to send & select 'Offer' from the dropdown (if any)




  • The exact amounts that you will send and the amount which will be received by your beneficiary is clearly displayed along with benefit (If any) & Exchange rate applied. The exact Date & time of delivery will also be displayed along with the next steps in 'Tracker'




  • Click on 'Next Step' to proceed to the 'Sender Details' page




  • Provide your details such as 'Account name', 'Account number' & 'Mobile number'. The customer will also have to select a mode of Verification – Either 'Upload an ID proof' or go for 'Call verification'





    If you choose 'Upload an ID proof', you will be required to upload either Passport or Driving license. Please make sure that the document is is less than 3 MB in size. Adhere to the guidelines for the document upload.



    If you choose 'Call verification', then our support person will call you in 1 hour to verify you. The verification will be done by our support team person who will be asking you a few questions. If you are not available in the next 1 hour, you can always 'Book New slot' and our support person will call you at that time
  • You will also be able to see the 'Revised Payment tracker' as soon as you set up the call verification slot



  • The customer can also review the transaction details by clicking on 'I want to Review the payment details entered earlier'. You can also 'Edit' the details here




  • After reviewing the details, Click on 'Confirm & pay through Sofort Payment Gateway (1 hour transfer)'




  • Now the customer will be directed to Sofort Payment gateway where they will first have to select their foreign bank from the drop down and then they have to provide their Internet Banking login details to make the payment. Once this is successful, they will be directed to 'Receipt' page.


  • Your transaction is complete. You can see the Real time tracker on the page with the expected date & time of credit. Your unique Transaction reference number is also mentioned which will act as your reference number for all future communication pertaining to this transaction. Updates will also be sent to customer's registered Email & phone number at each step.




  • You can download the Receipt as well check the Reward points that you have earned on this transaction




  • The customer can also Edit or Cancel payment within 30 minutes of transaction booking by clicking on 'Edit or Cancel Payment'. The customer can also make a new payment by clicking on 'New payment'




  • The customer can Refer RemitMoney by clicking on 'Like' or give us a feedback on clicking on 'Dislike' icon




Existing user

  • Remitter has to visit the site www.remitmoney.com




  • On the top right side of the home page, click on the 'Login' tab; the Login page will open.




  • Login to your RemitMoney account with your Login credentials which are 'Email ID' with which you registered & 'Password' that you set. Click on 'Login'




  • You will now enter your RemitMoney account. On the 'Home', click on the 'Pay Now' tab at the top


  • You can either 'Add new receiver' or send funds to an existing receiver by clicking on 'Send Money'. You can also edit the earlier added receiver details and send money to him/her by clicking on 'Edit & Send'




  • You can also repeat an exact existing transaction. In the Repeat payment section, Click on 'Send Money' for the corresponding transaction that you want to repeat. It will directly take you to 'Payment Confirmation' screen.




  • After selecting the beneficiary, you will then be directed to 'Payment Booking' page where you have to enter the amount you want to send in the 'Sending Amount' field. You can enter the amount that you want to send either in your 'Foreign currency' or in 'INR' by selecting one from the drop down.




  • Enter the amount you want to send. You can select an offer from the drop down or enter the promo cod




  • You will know the exact 'Credit date & time' from the tracker at the bottom of the page. Click on 'Next Step' to proceed




  • Fill in the details of your foreign bank. Your earlier details will be prefilled, you can either edit them or proceed with the same details. Review the details & Click on ‘Confirm & Pay through Sofort Payment gateway (1 hour)'




  • Your transaction is complete. You can see the Real time tracker on the page with the expected date & time of credit.
